Teachers and students in a balanced literacy classroom have ongoing discussions about the books students are reading for the purpose of:

Reading conferences are short, informal discussions that take place once or twice a week.
Questions to ask during conferences: * What are you doing as a reader? * Can you show me what reading strategy you are using? * Would you read a bit of your book to me? * Can you show me your reading log? |
